Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Klevi website at klevi.ai and the Klevi desktop app for Mac and Windows, (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use Klevi. There's no password: you sign in with a one-time code or link that we email you, so please keep your email account secure. One account works on all your devices, and you can see and sign out devices from your account page. You are responsible for activity on your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

2. Free trial

Every new account gets a one-time free trial, with no card needed. It includes 5 minutes of live listening (captions and translation), 3 screen translations, 5 questions to Klevi, 1 meeting summary, 2 scored practice answers, 2 profile AI uses (reading your résumé or drafting a career story) and 1 résumé profile. These are lifetime totals: the trial doesn't reset, and it has no cash value. One trial per person. When it's used up, you can choose a paid plan or buy a Session pass.

3. Plans and billing

Our paid plans, Pro and Max, are billed monthly or yearly. Current prices are shown on our pricing page in US dollars. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.

• Monthly allowances. Pro includes 20 hours and Max 40 hours of live listening each month, plus the other allowances shown on the pricing page. Allowances reset each month and unused amounts don't roll over.
• Fair use. Features marked "Unlimited*" have generous fair-use limits meant for one person's everyday use. For example, Pro includes up to 300 screen translations, 1,000 questions to Klevi, 200 meeting summaries and 500 scored practice answers a month, and Max about three times as much.
• One person per account. Each account is for one person. The Klevi app stays signed in on up to 2 computers; signing in on a third signs out the one used least recently. Only one live session can run at a time per account. Don't share your sign-in codes or your account.
• Fair use: live sessions per day. A live session is a meeting or Interview Copilot session. Pro includes up to 2 and Max up to 5 in any 24 hours. A session counts once it has listened for 2 minutes, so false starts don't count, and a session that's already running is never cut off. A Session pass follows the Max limit.
• Changes. You can upgrade, switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel anytime from your account page. Prices may change. We will tell you in advance, and changes apply from your next billing period.

4. Payments and taxes

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. For many purchases, Stripe's Link service sells Klevi to you as reseller and merchant of record. When it does, it calculates and collects any sales tax, VAT or GST, sends your receipts, handles payment questions, and your statement shows a descriptor starting with "LINK.COM*". Prices may be shown in your local currency at checkout. Any taxes are shown before you pay.

You can also pay with PayPal. PayPal plans for Pro or Max (monthly or yearly) renew automatically until you cancel; Session passes are one-time payments. Prices are in US dollars, and access starts once PayPal confirms the payment. If a PayPal payment is refunded or reversed, the plan time or unused passes it bought are removed.

You can also pay with cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. A crypto payment buys a fixed period of Pro or Max (one month or one year), or Session passes, in US dollars. It doesn’t renew automatically, and it starts once the payment is confirmed on the blockchain. If you pay less than the price shown, the purchase isn’t completed; contact us and we’ll help.

5. Session passes

A Session pass is a one-time purchase ($9), not a subscription. Each pass gives you 24 hours of Max-level features with up to 90 minutes of live listening. A pass you buy starts as soon as your payment is confirmed. Passes run one at a time: if you buy more than one, each extra pass starts when the one before it ends (or you can start it yourself in the app), and extra passes that haven't started never expire. Free passes you receive, for example from a referral, wait until you start them in the app. Passes are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

6. Refer a friend

Every account has a personal invite link. When someone creates a new Klevi account through your link and then makes their first purchase (any plan payment or Session pass), you both get one free Session pass.

• Each new customer can earn a reward only once, and only for the first person who referred them.
• You can earn rewards for up to 50 referrals per year.
• Referring yourself isn't allowed, including accounts that use your email or payment details, or accounts you control.
• Reward passes have no cash value and can't be sold or transferred.
• We may withhold rewards if we see abuse, and we may change or end the program with notice. Passes you've already earned stay yours.

7. Affiliates

If you promote Klevi as an approved affiliate, our Affiliate Terms also apply. Discounts from affiliate links or codes apply only to a customer's first purchase and can't be combined with other offers.

8. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your account page. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again. If you’re accidentally charged twice for the same plan, we cancel and refund the duplicate automatically. Payments are non-refundable, except where required by law. If something serious went wrong, contact hello@klevi.ai and we will look into it.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Klevi to:

• Record, transcribe or translate conversations without any consent required by law.
• Break any law or violate anyone's privacy or other rights.
• Get help during exams, proctored tests or interviews where outside assistance is not allowed.
• Misrepresent your experience, for example by presenting facts or stories you know aren’t true as your own.
• Harass, deceive or harm others.
• Reverse engineer, overload, disrupt or try to gain unauthorized access to the Service, or get around plan limits.
• Resell or share your account, or let anyone else use it, without our permission.

10. Your content

You own the content you create with Klevi, including your transcripts, notes, summaries, résumé profiles and story bank. You give us permission to process that content only as needed to provide and support the Service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your meeting content to train AI models.

11. AI output

Klevi uses artificial intelligence. Translations, notes, summaries, feedback, talking points and story drafts may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete. Please review important information before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial or other high-stakes decisions.

Talking points and story drafts are suggestions for you to put into your own words. You are responsible for what you say, and for making sure the facts in your profile and stories are true.

12. Our property

Klevi, our logos and the Service itself belong to us and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms.

13. Changes and availability

We are always improving Klevi, so features may change, be added or be removed. We aim to keep the Service available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using Klevi and delete your account at any time from your account page. Deleting your account cancels any subscription and removes unused passes. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or put others at risk. Where reasonable, we will give notice first.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Klevi will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Klevi after that means you accept the updated Terms.
