Getting started

Klevi is a desktop app for Mac and Windows that helps you in meetings and interviews. It listens to the conversation when you start it, shows live captions and translations, and suggests answers built from the professional profile you confirm.

1. Download and install

Downloads for Mac and Windows open on the download section of the homepage. If the buttons say downloads are coming soon, they are not available yet.

2. Sign in

Open Klevi, go to Settings → Account and sign in with your email. Klevi emails you a one-time code; no password is needed. Without signing in, Klevi runs a demo with sample content.

3. Allow permissions

• Microphone: to hear you.
• Screen & System Audio Recording (macOS): to hear the other people in a call and to read the parts of your screen you select. Allow Klevi in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then quit and reopen Klevi.

4. Build your profile

In the Profile tab, add your résumé. Klevi drafts facts about your experience; you confirm the ones that are true. Only confirmed facts are used in answers.

Live: meetings and captions

Open the Live tab and choose Meeting Copilot. Press Start listening.

• Captions and translation: what is said appears as captions, translated into your language if you choose one.
• Ask Klevi: type a question at the bottom, or use the quick buttons such as “Catch me up” and “What did they just ask?”.
• Talking points: when someone asks a question, Klevi suggests points you could make.
• Notes: when you stop, the session is saved to Notes with a summary, if saving is on in Settings.

Interview Copilot

Interview Copilot suggests answers in your own voice as interview questions come in, using your confirmed profile, your saved stories and the job description.

Starting a session

1. In Live, choose Interview Copilot.
2. Optionally paste the job description.
3. Tick “This is practice, or AI assistance is permitted in this interview.” This is asked for every session.
4. Press Start Interview Copilot.

During the session

• Each question gets a card with the question and a suggested answer. Use Copy answer, Shorter answer or Try again.
• Answers are labelled by source: from your profile, professional knowledge, a proposed approach, or something to check. If your profile does not contain what a question needs, Klevi says so instead of inventing it.
• The session bar has Pause, Mute mic, Mute call audio, Wait (see below) and Read screen.

Wait before answering

In Settings → Answers, choose how long Klevi waits after a question before answering (0 to 5 seconds). If the speaker keeps talking, Klevi adds it to the question and waits again.

Where it is not available

Interview Copilot is for practice, mock interviews and interviews where AI assistance is allowed. It refuses proctored, closed-book or restricted assessments, and stops for the rest of a session if the conversation or the screen shows that a session is restricted. Use Practice and your story bank to prepare for those instead.

Read your screen

Find these in Live → Read your screen, in the Klevi menu, or press ⌘⇧T (CtrlShiftT on Windows) to translate. Your screen freezes; choose an action at the top, then drag over an area.

• Translate (all plans): translates the text into the language you pick. Translation only.
• Answer question (Max): the detected question, a suggested answer and a short explanation.
• Solve code (Max): an explanation, the approach, a full solution with Copy code, suggested test cases and complexity. Klevi does not run the code and asks when something it needs is not visible.

Results appear in the Live tab with Retry, Capture again and a follow-up box. Only the area you select is sent for processing.

Practice

The Practice tab gives you interview questions to answer out loud. Klevi scores your answer on clarity, structure, relevance and delivery, shows your pace and pauses, and suggests how to improve.

Profile and story bank

• Résumé profiles: add a résumé and confirm the facts Klevi drafts. Pro includes 3 profiles and Max 10.
• Career stories: save examples in STAR, CAR, SOAR and other structures. Klevi can draft them from your confirmed facts; you edit and confirm them.

Answers only use confirmed facts and stories.

Notes

Saved sessions appear in Notes with the transcript, translations, screen results and a summary. Delete a note, or all notes, at any time. Notes and transcripts are stored on your device.

Klevi on your phone

On Pro and Max, you can follow live captions, translations and suggestions on your phone, which helps when you are presenting full screen. Press the phone button in the Live tab and scan the code with your phone’s camera. It works on iPhone and Android with no app to install. Only people with the code can watch, and sharing ends when you stop it or after 12 hours.

Settings

• Answers: wait before answering.
• Language: the meeting language and the language to translate into.
• Screen-share privacy: keeps Klevi visible to you while asking your computer to leave its window out of supported screen captures. Compatibility varies by system and sharing app; see compatibility for what has been tested. It does not bypass proctoring or monitoring tools.
• Panel size, appearance, keep on top and Notes saving.

Keyboard shortcuts

Plans, passes and billing

One person per account. The Klevi app works on up to 2 computers per account, and one live session runs at a time. Signing in on a third computer signs out the one used least recently. Please don’t share your account or sign-in codes.

Fair use applies to “unlimited” features. A live session is a meeting or Interview Copilot session: Pro includes up to 2 and Max up to 5 in any 24 hours. A session counts once it has listened for 2 minutes, and one that’s running is never cut off. Prices are in US dollars.

Paying

• Card: a subscription you can cancel any time from your account page.
• PayPal or crypto: pays for one month or one year, or for passes. It does not renew automatically.

Partner codes

If a creator or coach gave you a partner code, enter it in the Partner code box on your account page before you pay. Interested in becoming a partner? See the partner program.

Privacy and your data

• Klevi only listens or reads your screen when you start it, and you can pause or stop at any time.
• Audio and selected screen areas are sent to our AI providers to create captions, translations, answers and summaries.
• Meetings, transcripts and notes are stored on your device. Your account, profiles, stories and preferences are stored on our servers so they follow you across devices.
• You can delete notes in the app, and your account from your account page.
• You are responsible for telling participants, and for getting any consent the law requires, before using Klevi in a conversation.

Troubleshooting

“Screen access needed” or a blank screenshot

Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording, turn on Klevi, then quit and reopen Klevi and press Try again.

Klevi does not hear the other people in the call

Make sure Meeting audio is on in the Live tab and that Klevi has Screen & System Audio Recording permission. Check that the call is playing through your computer, not a separate device.

“Part of Max”

Answer question and Solve code need Max or an active Session pass. Translate works on every plan.

Answers are slow or a request failed

Check your internet connection, then use Retry. Klevi stops waiting after a time limit instead of spinning forever. Each answer shows how long it took.

Interview Copilot will not start

Tick the confirmation first. If your job description describes a proctored or closed-book assessment, Klevi will not start a session; use Practice instead.
